Neal Bertram, Head Varsity Coach

Coach Bertram is entering his 24th year as head baseball coach at Rockford Lutheran as he has guided the Crusaders to an overall record of 309-245. Bertram graduated from Eastern Illinois University where he was a three year varsity letterman and participated on the runner-up team in the 1981 Division II College World Series. He is a current member of the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association and the Baseball Coaches Association. Bertram’s Rockford Lutheran teams’ have won seven conference championships and two regional titles, 2002 & 2007. He was named Private School League “Coach of the Year” in 2002 & 2003. Neal is married to Bettie Jo and they have two daughters both graduates of Rockford Lutheran High School. Coach Bertram is a physical education teacher at RLHS.
