Scott Lofgren, Girl’s Soccer Varsity Coach

Coach Lofgren is entering his 6th year as the girl’s varsity soccer coach here at Rockford Lutheran. Lofgren led the Lady Crusaders to its first IHSA State Title in the school’s history while tabbing a 22-1-2 overall record in 2007. The Lady Crusaders cruised through the Big Northern Conference slate en route to its third consecutive Conference title this past year and a 2007 IHSA Class A State Tournament Championship. In 2006, the varsity soccer team recorded a 19-4-2 record and finished 3rd in the IHSA Class A State Tournament. Coach Lofgren received “Coach of the Year” honors in the Private School League in 2002 and Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association’s Sectional “Coach of the Year” accolades in 2007. Coach Lofgren has coached for 16 years at various levels of soccer. He played soccer at Harlem High School and Quincy College. Coach Lofgren and his wife Dyan, have two children attending RLHS.
