Important Upcoming Dates
Rockford Lutheran has coordinated a couple of special 5-week strength, conditioning, and agility sessions to be hosted by Cross Fit for both senior and junior high students. These Cross Fit workouts will be held in conjunction with our weight room workouts held here at Rockford Lutheran Jr-Sr. High School.
5-week Cross Fit Workouts:
Sr. High Dates: Each Sunday, Feb. 28 – Sunday, March 28, 2010
Jr. High Dates: Each Sunday, April 11 – Sunday, May 9, 2010
Cost: $50 (payment covers the expense for using Cross Fit services)
Payment Due in Full: First Session at Cross Fit
Location: 8186 Commerce Drive, Loves Park, IL 61111
Time: 3 pm
Day: Sunday
A 5-week Cross Fit session will begin at 3 pm on Sunday, February 28th for all senior high students. Also, our high school students will initiate a new lifting schedule beginning the week of Monday, March 1. High school students will lift on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays during that 5-week Cross Fit training session. Lifting times at Rockford Lutheran will still be held twice a day; 6:30 am and 3:30 pm. The Sunday lift will be held at Cross Fit while the other lifts during the week will be held at Rockford Lutheran. This schedule will last from Monday, March 1 through Friday, April 2nd which is the beginning of our Spring Break. Our coaches will not host any lifting sessions throughout Spring Break.
Jr. High students can begin a 5-week Cross Fit session on Sunday, April 11, 2010. The Sunday sessions will be held at the aforementioned location and time. During this 5-week session, the Jr. High students will lift Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday with the Sunday workouts being hosted at Cross Fit. The Tuesday/Thursday lifts during this 5-week Cross Fit session will be held at Rockford Lutheran. Keep in mind, that our coaches will not host lifting sessions during Spring Break.

It is extremely important that our families/student-athletes commit to all the workout sessions in order to receive the full benefits of our strength and conditioning program. These workouts are open for all Rockford Lutheran student-athletes and it is the most critical step in the improvement process. It is highly encouraged that our students attend all sessions. Success here at Rockford Lutheran will be measured by how we all embrace the opportunity to become mentally and physically tougher developed within these workouts. Self-discipline, courage, and sacrifice will foster our ability to attain the goals established for highly competitive Crusader athletic teams.
