2009 Girls Soccer - State Tournament
The Rockford Lutheran girls soccer team notched a dramatic, 1-0, win over Pleasant Plains in the third place game of the IHSA 1A State Soccer Tournament. Sierra MacKeever slammed home a goal off a Heather Baier assist with just :56 seconds remaining in the contest. The pesky Pleasant Plains squad held us at bay despite the "Crusader Crew" controlling the style of play throughout the game. Congratulations on your third place victory!
Our girls soccer program has now accumulated two, third place trophies and one state championship trophy in the last four years. It is a great time to be a Crusader!
