Where do your donations go?

Home » Where do your donations go?

Your donations help to meet current and long term needs of the schools.

Current needs include:

  • student tuition assistance
  • computer and technology updates
  • classroom updates and enhancements
  • special program assistance

There are also families who have made the commitment to Christian education, but unforeseen events such as a job loss or illness make it difficult to continue their child's education. Each year a limited amount of funding is made available to provide families with tuition assistance.

Donations to Rockford Lutheran School may be designated by the donor to a specific school or program, or applied to a general operating fund.

Longer term needs include Planned Giving to the Rockford Lutheran School Foundation. The Foundation provides money directly to the schools on an annual basis, in the form of restricted and unrestricted funds.

Depending on the request of the benefactor these funds can be applied to:

  • tuition assistance
  • art department
  • music department
  • science department
  • athletic department
  • teacher enhancement programs

As a benefactor you can specify exactly how you want the endowment applied. The goal of the Foundation is be a steward and servant of the charitable resources. Through the Foundation your gifts will continue to give for generations.

If you are a member of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, they can increase your contribution through the Thrivent Choice program.
