Each year all students at Rockford Lutheran School are encouraged to get involved in community service events and volunteer for local organizations.
Rockford Lutheran Acadmey Students Have Been Busy as They Have Helped Those Less Fortunate
- Mrs. Hill, Drama Instructor, helped the students collect 33 large bags of coats for the Coats for Kids Program at The Children's Clothes Closet (which works with The Rockford Food Pantry). A lot of children will be warmer this winter because of the student and families at RLA.
- Students collected fleece in November and made 470 scarves which were distributed to the Rockford Rescue Mission.
- RLA students collected 100 towels for the Rockford Noah's Ark animal shelter and 6000 plastic bags have been collected so far for the Rock River Food Pantry.
- Students created 100 pictures with Christmas messages for PA Peterson.
- Students colored 500 place mats for the Rockford Rescue Mission for their Thanksgiving meal for the homeless.
- Our students also collected money to go towards a bus for students in Jerusalem to get to school through the Bright Star organization.
- Our 3rd graders performed at PA Peterson.

God bless you and thank you for your generosity and help in securing 3,006 pair of men's underwear for several of our social service agencies in the Rockford Community.
Funds Raised for Spanish Animal Farm
The Rockford Lutheran Spanish Club would like to thank everyone who helped contribute to our fundraiser to purchase an animal farm for a village in a third world country. Our goal of $2,000 to buy 28 animals for a farm was reached. Thank you for your support.
Soup 4 Bowls
Rockford Lutheran School would like to thank all of the staff, students and parents that helped with the Soup 4 Bowl Community Service Project for the Rockford Rescue Mission. We collected over 8,856 lbs of food and $714.58 in cash. The Mission will be able to serve over 250 meals with the food donations. We would also like to thank 101QFL for partnering with us and giving the school this opportunity to serve those in need.
