When: Wednesday, April 16th - Bus leaves at 8:10 AM and returns at 6:30 PM to Rockford Lutheran

Where: Chicago - 

This trip was a fan favorite amongst our current seniors last year. We are thrilled to bring it back as a tradition for our Juniors this year. Our journey will begin at 8:10 AM when students board the school-provided white buses at Rockford Lutheran. We will then proceed to the Metra Rail station in Elgin, where we will board the 9:28 train, arriving at Union Station at 10:47 AM. From there, we will walk a short distance of .2 miles to Willis Tower for our 11:00 AM reservation at the Sky Deck. After visiting the Skydeck, the students, in small groups accompanied by a chaperone, have the rest of the day to explore. Last year, many of us used the Water Taxi to get to Michigan Ave. One group went to the Field Museum, while another went to the National Ice Cream Museum. My group shopped on Michigan Ave. and had lunch. It was so much fun to see what everyone did when we met back at Union. We will meet at Union Station at 4:10 to board the 4:30 train. We'll arrive back at the Elgin Metra Station at 5:41 PM. We'll return to Rockford Lutheran at 6:30 PM.

Cost: $50.00 per student (Covers all transportation and Willis Tower Sky Deck)

• Students will want to bring money for lunch, snacks, and any other purchases they may want to make during the trip.

Lunch: Please send money for lunch with your child. In small groups with their chaperones, they will decide where they want to have lunch. 

Dress: Students can be out of the standard dress code for the day.  Ripped/destroyed jeans and crop tops are not permitted. 

We have several teachers and staff members planning to chaperone, but we are also seeking additional parents or guardians to assist. If you are interested, please indicate that on the form below and click the payment for the chaperone price. The $58.00 includes your transportation and Sky Deck ticket.
