Rockford Lutheran Schools Foundation
The RLS Foundation is a charitable non-profit organization, formed in August 1991 and recognized under Section 501(c) (3) of the IRS tax code, that solely exists to champion and support the current and future needs of Rockford Lutheran School in providing a quality Christian environment for ministry, education, fellowship and related activities. An independent Board of Directors governs the Foundation.
A primary function of the Foundation is to manage the more than $1.6M in permanently endowed funds. Endowments can be set up by interested parties as legacy gifts, through estates and trusts for planned giving, or through directed life insurance policies or other similar activities. Although Rockford Lutheran School administers the Foundation and is an integral part of our development activities, its funds are maintained separately and managed independently of school funds by the Foundation Board of Directors. The school Advancement Department can share more about the Foundation and giving options.
Contact the Head of School or Advancement Office (through the Main School Office at the Jr/Sr HS Campus) for information on creating or contributing to an endowment fund.
