Model UN is a simulation of the United Nations General Assembly and its other multilateral bodies where students perform an ambassador role while debating topics such as gender equality, climate action, global health, and more.
Participating students attend the namesake conference in Chicago every February. There, Rockford Lutheran represents itself and multiple countries and committees in realistic and fantastical scenarios with other schools. Students learn about geopolitics, global issues, problem-solving, team work, debate, coordination, and speech making.
